Since 2018, Embassy has been tackling the growing problem of homelessness in Manchester by providing vulnerable individuals with dedicated support in getting off and staying off the streets. They aim to “empower people to leave homelessness behind and build hope for a brighter future.”

At present, hundreds of individuals face the reality of sleeping rough across Greater Manchester. Using an innovative approach including a re-purposed tour bus designed to house and shelter vulnerable adults Embassy delivers practical, life-changing interventions. The charity provides safe accommodation, a peaceful environment to rest, and tailored rehabilitation programs. Guests are linked directly with local support agencies, dedicated mentors, and partners to secure steady employment and permanent housing.

Alarmingly, nearly half of those who experience homelessness risk returning to the streets primarily due to loneliness and a lack of community support. Embassy is committed to breaking this cycle by maintaining continuous contact and guidance long after individuals move into independent homes. This comprehensive approach has delivered proven results, helping residents stay in stable employment and maintain long-term tenancies.

SJ Minibuses is proud to support Embassy, helping contribute towards the vital transport and operational logistics required to keep their outreach efforts moving forward. To learn more about their mission or support their ongoing community work, visit the official Embassy website
